bring its 33rd annual event to Graz, Austria!
DATES: ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Workshop dates are July 18-31, 2004. Plan to arrive some time after noon on
Sunday, July 18. Classes begin
on Monday, July 19. No classes are scheduled on Saturday, July 31, and hotel
checkout can be any time before noon. If you need to arrive earlier or stay
later, additional hotel nights can be arranged with Tori Hintz.
TRAVEL AND TOURS
International Workshops does
not have a designated travel agent, so you may
make your own travel arrangements, using the Internet, calling an airline
directly, or using your own personal travel agent. You can fly into the Graz airport from Vienna, Frankfurt, and many other European cities.
Some of you may prefer to fly to Vienna and take the train to Graz.
FAMILY & FRIENDS
Family members and accompanying friends are offered special rates, are
encouraged to attend all IW concerts and special events, and will enjoy many
activities in and around Graz.

TAX DEDUCTIBILITY
For professionals, travel, tuition, and living expenses are deductible on your U.S.
income tax; check with your tax consultant for further details
ACADEMIC CREDIT
Three hours of graduate or undergraduate academic credit are available at
reasonable cost.
OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS
On July 22 and 26, our two Free Days, you may decide to catch your breath
from the intense Workshop schedule by exploring some of Graz's historic and beautiful
surroundings. The friendly folks at Grazer Tourismus have arranged
a selection of day trips for us.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Our inclusive fee for tuition, hotel (entry-level, double occupancy), breakfasts,
our International Festival of Concerts, and our gala Auf Wiedersehen Party, is $2,195!
SCHOLARSHIPS
A number of $1,000 scholarships have been reserved for documented full-time college
students and first-year teachers. Contact Tori for an
application.
HOUSING
All housing options include private bath and breakfasts. Entry-level Hotel Academia is
a basic choice, in a leafy residential neighborhood a lovely tram ride from our headquarters.
Our 3-star hotel upgrades offer pretty rooms and are also a tram ride away from our
headquarters. Our two beautiful 4-star hotels are the Erzherzog Johann, a former duke's
residence in the center of town, and the Romantik Parkhotel, across the street from our IW
headquarters.
