Thursday, July 22
1. Eisenstadt and Joseph Haydn
Two
names are inseparable with the city Eisenstadt - Joseph Haydn and
Esterházy, a composer and a royal family, music and patronage. An
intimate concert will be part of the guided tour in Château
Esterházy. After lunch you will follow the trail of Joseph Haydn
through Eisenstadt.

2. The Austrian Open-Air Museum
The
Austrian Open-Air Museum invites you to a relaxing stroll starting
at the buildings from Burgenland, Austria's most eastern province, leading
on to the impressive "Rauchstubenhäuser" (smoke-room buildings) of
the south-eastern alpine region and the stone built structures of the Danube
basin. After you have met the traditional alpine farmsteads from Tyrol or
Salzburg you will finally reach the archaic diary from the most western
province Vorarlberg so that you get the unique opportunity to compare
Austria's great variety of regional culture.

3. Guided City Walk includes Kunsthaus
Graz turns visitors into time-travellers. As a World Cultural Heritage
site it takes them back through distant centuries of
the past in a whirlwind tour of the Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque periods.
Graz also captures the moment, the spirit of modern life. In 2003 Graz was
the Cultural Capital of Europe. The nomination brought may positive changes
and left unmistakable and spectacular marks in the cultural and architectural
face of the city such as the Kunsthaus called the "friendly alien": the
Island in the River Mur.

4. The Romans - The Styrian Provincial Exhibition 2004
2000 years ago the
Romans founded the city Flavia Solva in Southern
Styria and thus had a lasting effect on this region and its inhabitants.
The Romans have paved our roads, they have provided our homes with water
and heating and they have introduced shopping centres and body hygiene
to our people. The exhibition "The Romans"
gives a close look into the
Roman way of thinking and the Roman way of life.

5. White Horses - Red Wine
Over the hills to the
home of the famous white horses of the Spanish
Riding School -- the Lipizzaner Stud -- in West Styria. This trip isn't
only for horse fanciers, though. It's for anyone who has a taste for the
play of the light on the hills, a hearty snack of assorted homemade Styrian
delicacies..... a glass of the unique Schilcher wine, that glows with the
color of onion skins.....or the dark glint of pumpkin seed oil.

6. Guided City Walk includes "Schlossberg"
Graz turns visitors into time-travellers. As a World Cultural Heritage

tour of the Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque periods. Graz also captures the
moment, the spirit of modern life. The Schlossberg, a 473 m high green hill
dating back to the 13th century, is the undisputed landmark of Graz.
